This position will see you join a hybrid consultancy that has successfully combined a building services design capability with a traditional technical advisory and client-side project management consultancy - interesting concept we know!
Open to both strong assistant project managers and Project managers.
What you'll be doing
- You'll lead technical, base-building upgrade & greenfield sites, mainly within the commercial & industrial space, representing some of Australia's biggest names in corporate real estate (think A-REITs!)
- Take projects from start to finish, including initial site inspections, technical due diligence, capital expenditure and lifecycle forecasting, asset repositioning, concept & detailed building services design and overall client-side project management.
- Design and engineering reviews.
- Develop and maintain cost plans, programs, and meeting minutes.
- Liaise with the client on all matters relating to the project.
- Manage the tender and tender evaluation process.
- Chair PCG meetings on behalf of the client.
- Act as the project Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all matters relating to the project.
- Coordinate with third parties to achieve the desired outcome.
- Submit project status reports as agreed with the client.
- Attend site and monitor site progress as well as ensuring the project meets legislative and health and safety requirements.
- Manage all testing and commissioning associated with the project.
Must haves for the role
- Minimum 3 years experience delivering construction or capital works projects.
- Strong experience within a project management or construction consultancy environment.
- Experience within existing building space.
- Confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exposure to cost management, reporting and programme control capability.
- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar.
- Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship required).
- Exposure to commercial and contract administration experience.
- Exposure to tendering, value engineering and procurement processes.
- Experience chairing meetings and managing governance groups.
