Client-Side Project Director (Construction)

A boutique project and development management consultancy working across social infrastructure projects including education, universities and independent schools, aged care and retirement living, and community and affordable housing is seeking a Project Director or Strong Senior PM to join its senior leadership team.

About the business

• Full property lifecycle delivery from early strategic planning through to post-occupancy.

The role

• A genuine leadership position, not a delivery seat
• Take ownership of the client services side of the business, freeing the founder to focus on growth of the business.
• Oversee a small, capable team of senior and mid-level project managers
• Help close the gap between senior PM and director-level oversight
• Play a direct role in shaping the business as it scales
• Work across multi-million-dollar university and institutional builds and sensitive federally funded social infrastructure projects.
• Real autonomy, a business that backs its people to drive outcomes, not wait to be chased

What you'll bring

• 10+ years' experience, with at least five years of that being on with a project management consultancy.
• Senior-level, end-to-end project delivery experience, ready to step into strategic oversight and people leadership.
• Institutional, government, or major corporate client-side experience highly regarded.
• Comfort operating in a lean, fast-moving business with real influence on direction.
• Capability and drive matter to make a real difference.
