About the Company

Our client sits at the forefront of Australia's sustainability sector. They combine deep technical expertise with genuine influence across government, policy and commercial property.

They:

• Work directly with NABERS, contributing to policy and procedure development.
  
• Advise local governments on policy, legislation and whole-of-system energy strategy.
  
• Partner with commercial property owners to deliver energy-efficient, future-proofed portfolios.
  
• Operate as a highly experienced team of around 25 across Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
  
• Run a flexible, collaborative, flat-structured environment where everyone has access to growth and development.
  
• Are led by Principals and Directors who have played a major role in shaping sustainability across Australia's built environment.
  

This isn't for an engineer looking to pivot to utility scale solar farms. This is for someone who wants to drive sustainability outcomes in buildings, portfolios and energy systems.

The Role

They're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (5+ years experience) with a strong background in renewable and electrification technologies.

You'll work across:

• Solar PV design (roof-top and ground-mounted).
  
• Battery storage systems and integration.
  
• EV charging infrastructure planning and design.
  
• Electrification studies for buildings and portfolios.
  
• Grid-connected and off-grid system design.
  
• Energy auditing and commissioning (preferred but not essential).
  

You'll join a team of sustainability consultants and engineers who combine policy expertise with deep technical capability - not "sustainability boffins", but true practitioners shaping better outcomes for the built environment.

What You Need

• 5+ years as an Electrical Engineer.
  
• Experience designing renewable energy systems (solar, battery, EV charging).
  
• Strong interest in sustainability, decarbonisation and improving building performance.
  
• Desire to work across buildings, government policy and portfolio-level energy strategy.
  
• Not looking for a utilities or infrastructure career path - this is built-environment focused.
