What you're getting into

The Perth market is as busy as it has been in years. Which means a lot of hydraulic engineers are working hard right now. The question is whether the firm you are working hard for is giving you anything back.

This is one of the most established engineering consultancies in the world. They work on iconic projects across Australia and globally, and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic infrastructure is part of that pipeline right now. As part of the Perth team, you will be contributing to that national work alongside your local projects, which means your CV is building faster than it would be anywhere else in Perth.

The leadership team here are experienced, hands-on, and invested in the people below them. If you have been in a place where mentoring means being CCed on emails, this will feel different.

The firm is large enough to offer genuine career progression, an international network, and projects at a scale most Perth firms cannot touch. But the local team is tight enough that you are not a number, your work is visible, and the people above you know who you are.

What you'll be doing

You will take on a broad range of hydraulic services work - water supply, sanitary plumbing and drainage, stormwater, hot water, gas and trade waste - across commercial, health, education and other sectors in Perth.

You will work under the guidance of a senior leadership team who will stretch you technically and give you increasing responsibility as you are ready for it. You will also collaborate with other offices nationally, including on major projects tied to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, so the variety of work is well above what a Perth-only role typically offers.

It is a full lifecycle role. You are not picking up someone else's half-finished documentation - you are involved from concept through to construction.

What you'll need

At least 2 years in hydraulic services design within building services in Australia.

Solid knowledge of AS/NZS 3500, the NCC and the Plumbing Code of Australia.

What you'll get

  • 5 weeks annual leave - more than the standard four
  • Flexible working arrangements built in
  • Employee share purchase plan
  • Study leave and fee reimbursement
  • Subsidised health and fitness memberships
  • 8 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers
  • Performance recognition programs
  • Professional membership reimbursement
