Passionate about renewable energy and the built environment?
Want to work with a consultancy that's helping Australia transition to Net Zero - one building at a time?
Keen to put your technical skills to use designing smarter, cleaner energy systems for commercial buildings?
Well… this could be for you!
Our client sits across the sustainability and energy performance space.
They work hand in hand with NABERS, helping shape the standards and policies that drive sustainable building design. They partner with local governments and commercial clients, developing energy and carbon reduction strategies that combine renewables, energy audits, and integrated system design.
The team is small but highly experienced - around 15 people across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra. They're flexible, collaborative, and led by industry figures who have played a key role in shaping Australia's sustainability framework.
They're now looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer to join their Sydney team.
You'll be designing and delivering solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems for commercial buildings, helping clients reduce emissions and operating costs. You'll work closely with senior engineers to integrate renewables with broader building systems - understanding how energy is used across HVAC, lighting, and electrical infrastructure.
What you'll do:
Design and deliver renewable and electrical systems for commercial buildings.
Work on solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure.
Support energy audits, feasibility studies, and system optimisation projects.
Integrate renewables with HVAC and other building systems.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop practical, efficient solutions.
What we're looking for:
Electrical Engineer (or Mechanical/Energy Engineer with electrical exposure).
2-4 years' experience in renewable energy or building services.
Understanding of commercial building systems and energy use.
Knowledge of solar PV and battery design.
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn from senior engineers.
Salary: $75k-$95k + super (depending on experience).
You'll be joining a company that's technically strong, purpose-driven, and offers genuine long-term growth - with exposure to both Australian and UK projects.
