This is an opportunity with an engineering consultancy that specialise in the workplace environment - namely fit outs and refurbishments across corporate real estate. They are now looking for and mechanical engineer to join them on their exciting growth journey!
Day to day:
Design and develop soundproof and acoustically treated spaces for recording studios, concert halls, and other applications.
Conduct tests and analyze data to evaluate sound quality and performance of products.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and construction teams to ensure the acoustic quality of new and existing buildings.
Develop mathematical models and simulations to predict the acoustic performance of products and spaces.
Analyze and interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Stay up to date with advancements in acoustics technology and incorporate new techniques into your work.
What we need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge of acoustics, including sound wave propagation, room acoustics, and noise control.
Experience with simulation and modeling software, such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or COMSOL.
Ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Passion for acoustics and a strong desire to stay up to date with advancements in the field.
