Our client is a hybrid between a building services design consultancy and a client-side project management/advisory consultancy. They specialise in technical, base-building upgrade projects, and cover everything from technical due diligence, capital expenditure advisory and asset positioning, to concept & detailed design, and project management.
Although most of your time over the first 12-18 months would be spent in designing low voltage electrical engineering projects, you will be working alongside the project management team day in day out and can develop key skills in consulting, buildings advisory, and of course project management via in-house training, mentoring, and over time, hands on experience.
The business has been operating for 12 years now, and has a team of 42 engineers, project management and technical services consultants in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA.
Many of those were once like you, and over time, were able to transition into hybrid or project management positions (having placed many of these personally – we can confirm this to be true!!).
They place their staff development and work balance at the core of what they do – and they practice what they preach. They have a clear hybrid working policy of 2 days at home, 3 days in the office, offer 5 weeks annual leave as standard (and this increases with tenure), as well days off for your birthday. Upon starting, the Directors of the business will work with you to create a development plan that’s person to you, that includes your own training budget, to help you get to where you want to be!?
