Our Client Our client is a young, dynamic, growing building services consultancy specialising in engineering sustainable solutions within the built environment. With over 45 consultants in the Melbourne office, the business has grown organically through word of mouth, with zero marketing required. The directors have previously held principal roles with major consultancies in Melbourne and have brought on a range of medium to large-scale projects across Commercial Precincts, Hotels, Build to Rent, Education, Government, Defence, Industrial and Residential towers. Through its reputation and trust with clients, the business has been able to compete on the big end of town winning major projects with a construction value of up to $600 million.
The Role They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESD Engineer Leader to lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will be involved in client management, stakeholder engagement and business development activities, leveraging your experience to build and maintain strong relationships with their clients.
Responsibilities
Provide sustainable solutions in the design and delivery of projects.
Develop and implement sustainable design strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers
Be involved in client management, stakeholder engagement, and business development activities.
What Required The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, sustainability or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in ESD building services design engineering. You will have experience in leading and mentoring teams, and a strong track record of delivering sustainable solutions for a range of projects. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
